A few people were excused for the meeting and others arrived a little bit late, therefore instead of starting with the actions it was decided to start with the status reports.

**Status**
Jens went through some existing issues in ID26, ID21 and BM05 that are known to the BCU and for which work is ongoing. He also explained some work on timeouts and complaints received regarding HDF5 format compatibility with Data Analysis tools. Armando added that software provided by the ESRF is compatible with HDF5 format.
A short description of an issue related to data formats followed and Harald explained that this was due to TID and that it should be sorted by now.
Veijo also asked to have all the plugins and upgrades made at the same time as a new version of BLISS is deployed. Armando said that everything related to the BLISS environment should be updated at once by the BCU. Jens explained that some items may need to be updated by TID (e.g. cluster) but other items within the BLISS environment can be done by the BCU.
Jens also mentioned that the BCU has suffered resource issues, with some staff members leaving the team.

**Pending Actions**
* **#28 : Bliss conversion plan & SPEC support end** Jens showed as part of his presentation when different SPEC beamlines are planned to be converted. For ESRF beamlines the planning extends until the end of 2022, by which time all the ESRF beamlines should have been converted to BLISS. CRG beamlines cannot be accommodated at the same time and do not have the same push to do the converstion, however Jens would like to convert them in 2023.
Harald suggested to give to CRG beamlines a clear SPEC end of support date, which would motivate them to make the transition. Jens then added that 2021 and 2022 are already loaded with ESRF beamlines and Jordi suggested that given that it may be reasonable to offer end of 2023 as the end of support for SPEC.
* **#33 : BLISS Steering Committee future** It was decided to postpone this action to a meeting attended by the required senior people (JC Biasci and A Gotz were excused of this meeting).
* **#34 : BLISS v1.7 feature list prioritised** Matias has been really busy with supporting the beamlines and bug fixing during the last month, however he committed to share a list of v1.7 items with the Bliss Steering Committee no later than 6th November. **NEW ACTION:** Jens added that it would be good to gather feedback from BLISS users for v1.8 and that this could be done at the end of the run (early/mid December).
* **36 | Improve backwards compatibility & integration testing** Again, this could not be done due to other commitments. Jens explained that the situation is improving as loads of testing is being done. Matias could not discuss this topic with Wout, however he explained that they try to be always backwards compatible. Regarding integration testing Matias reported that Jakub has shown interest in the topic.
Manfred asked whether it would be possible to have a way to preview new releases with the feature to rollback to the previous version if the new doesn't work/has issues, to which Armando added that there is a way to move across BLISS environment versions. Jens and Matias explained that the rollback feature to enable two environments and versions of BLISS working would be heavy to implement and mantain.
