[M1] Design the "N slices at once" pattern
Some processing steps (CCD corrections, Paganin) are done in the "radios space", while other steps (filtering, reconstruction) are done in the "sinogram space".
A reasonable approach for the whole chain is the following: each worker reads N lines of all the radios, and thus will be able to "Paganin" a part of the radios space, while reconstructing up to N slices.
Notes:
- N should be larger than the Paganin filter height !
- The upper limit for N should be computed automatically, but we should leave the choice for advanced users.
- The distributed Paganin filtering is a series of 2D convolution (on each radio). With this pattern, we have to account for an overlap between workers. The output Paganin volume can be used as is.
