# Cloning the `id01sware` repository
If you have a working Git installation, use it to clone the repository.
## No proxy
The repository is public. Simply:
```bash
git clone https://zatterin@gitlab.esrf.fr/zatterin/id01sware.git
```
## Behind a proxy
### Use SSH
To clone the repo via SSH you first need to [generate and add an SSH key](https://gitlab.esrf.fr/help/ssh/README). This will allow a secure connection between your local machine and GitLab. Once the key is added:
```bash
git clone git@gitlab.esrf.fr:zatterin/id01sware.git
```
### Use HTTPS
See the [Install GitLab](install_gitlab) page for instructions (work in progress... better to use SSH!)
## Download it
Of course the alternative without having a Git installation is to simply download the repo as a .zip file via the button provided on the main Project page! |
