Isolated configuration spaces

Hi,

Is there a way to isolate configurations for experiments?

For example on a beamline where is often stuffs which are connected during an experiment technique and reconnected for another experiment.

As result having a disconnected equipment is normal while it is not part of the experiment we want to deal with.

For example, at ID16 there was 3 different setups. On ID19 it's probably even more.

Is there such way to isolate configuration?
