Can you please propose the text here so we can agree on it together. Here is an example from the ILL:

Dear ILL User,
You are probably already familiar with Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
as a solution to identify publications and articles. In collaboration
with DataCite (http://www.datacite.org/), the ILL is now generating DOIs
for the experimental data. This will allow persistent citation of the
data in related publications and therefore provide suitable references
to your work carried out at the ILL.
You receive this email because you have been involved in the proposal
"High resolution monochromatic neutron diffraction study of the
Fe-reduced form of perdeuterated rubredoxin" where an experiment has
been carried out.
A DOI (10.5291/ILL-DATA.8-01-389) has now been minted for the data
generated during this experiment.
Please cite the above DOI in your future publications that reference
this dataset. A standard citation format is provided below, however, if
the journal requests a special format, you could use the citation
formatter tool (http://crosscite.org/citeproc/) provided by DataCite.
Standard citation format:
Cuypers, Maxime; Forsyth, Trevor; Mason, Sax Anton and Mitchell, Edward.
(2012). High resolution monochromatic neutron diffraction study of the
Fe-reduced form of perdeuterated rubredoxin. Institut Laue-Langevin
(ILL) doi:10.5291/ILL-DATA.8-01-389
You can can access the DOI landing page at the following URL:

We hope you will enjoy this service, if you have any questions please do
not hesitate to send an email to data@ill.eu

Sorry, there was a connexion problem with the datacite server.
Are the DOIs supposed to work. If so please fix this. If not remove the DOI from the displayed columns in ICAT.
Thanks
