It is possible to mint doi multiple times accidentally
It seems that the UI does not protect to click multiple times to the mint button which produces to accidentally mint multiple DOIs. https://requests.esrf.fr/browse/DPT-265
I was minting a DOI for some datasets, and clicked the “mint” button several times and ended up accidentally generating 5 different DOIs for the same dataset:
https://doi.org/10.15151/esrf-dc-1947663452
https://doi.org/10.15151/esrf-dc-1947663463
https://doi.org/10.15151/esrf-dc-1947663485
https://doi.org/10.15151/esrf-dc-1947663474
https://doi.org/10.15151/esrf-dc-1947663496
Is there a way to remove the last 4 of them (keeping the one ending in 452), or otherwise aliasing them? Or is it not a problem? We intend to refer to https://doi.org/10.15151/esrf-dc-1947663452 in the publication, so maybe it doesn’t matter if there are duplicates out there, because no one will ever find the link to them?
Thanks

I think once the DOI is minted the page should automatically be redirected to the landing page of the DOI created or similar.
