New iteration: Improve generic dataset view

In the data portal, you can have a view of the datasets as a table:

In the new portal, this view is replace by cards. This view does not provide too much information:

The gallery is displayed in a new row "wasting" quite a lot of space:

Besides, at least for some beamlines it will make lot of sense to group the datasets by sample. It would be good to brainstorm how this could be improved.
