scan numbering in hdf5 without holes
I suggest to use two different counters to increment scan numbers:
- one for scans that are saved in the file (
save=True
) - a second one for scans (e.g. ct ) that are not saved this is to avoid holes in the hdf5 file.
one suggestion could be to add a leading _
the scans that are not saved during publishing.
here is an example: current scan number increment scheme :
test_alias:tmp:scans:1_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:2_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:3_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:4_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:5_loopscan
test_alias:tmp:scans:6_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:7_loopscan
test_alias:tmp:scans:8_loopscan
test_alias:tmp:scans:9_loopscan
and the new one:
test_alias:tmp:scans:_1_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:_2_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:_3_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:_4_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:1_loopscan
test_alias:tmp:scans:_5_ct
test_alias:tmp:scans:2_loopscan
test_alias:tmp:scans:3_loopscan
test_alias:tmp:scans:4_loopscan
