MG presented the status of the BLISS project. Slides are uploaded here MG_bscm1.pdf. He explained how they have moved from Scrum to Kanban as their development methodology and that this was better adapted to the team.
The issue of MCA data not being treated as an image was raised.
The implementation of the 4-circle HKL geometry is done and needs to be documented so that it can be included in the master branch. This will serve as basis for other geometries. The first users will be the CRGs.
The status of the BLISS documentation was reviewed. It is clear that even if it is improving it needs improving in terms of the structure, the English and drawings.
There is a conflict between the ECAPS project requests and conversion of beamlines to BLISS. There is not enough manpower for doing both. Conversion of beamlines to BLISS will have highest priority in 2019.
The PCs on the beamlines to be converted have been upgraded to Debian 9 / 10 (?) in preparation of installing BLISS.
The list of BLISS controllers to be developed is documented on this wiki page New Controllers
TODO: JM+LC to organise regular reviews of BLISS controllers developments with all BCU teams
There is a need to improve communication between BCU members who are working on converting beamlines to BLISS. Some of the teams are not operational yet. To be followed up outside the BSC and reported back at next BSC.
TODO: JM+LC to report on BLISS beamline conversion teams at next BSC
Format of scan data files in hdf5 has been improved but needs to be checked by V.Honkimaki and A.Sole to be sure that the data are easy to plot.
TODO: AS+VH to review new format of scan data files
JM presented the status of the beamline conversion to BLISS and issues. Slide are uploaded here BLISS_Steer_4_4_19.pdf
