tmux : bliss is preventing users from finding their gnome terminal menu bar and popup menu
We spent a while trying to find the terminal menu bar on ubuntu20. The trick is to exit tmux (and bliss) to get the popup menu back:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/19916/how-to-show-gnome-terminal-menubar
e.g. bliss is taking the mouse events without doing the window management (thanks to tmux).
During the time I write this issue : opid11 sits next to me and put tmux into a 100% CPU blocked state (probably a typo or ctrl-r). Getting back to a working bliss needs range of control-c (or ^d or ^) and/or process kills and sometimes even a reboot. It depends on the operators ability to locate and kill zombies.
If we use --no-tmux
then the terminal gets trashed by counter output.
Is there already plan to replace tmux with something else ?
