Setting limits on motor velocity ?
We seem to be able to run scans which will attempt to set motors to crazy speeds. For example:
fscan(rot, 0, 1, 360, 0.002)
...would run at 500 degrees per second. The spec for our rotation stage is up to 6 rpm, so this is far out of the range of allowed values.
Is there a way to set a velocity limit on a motor? For some motors we are saved by closed loop errors. For other motors I am expecting to see damaged hardware. These limits typically depend on the experimental set up and would need to be set like position limits.
(I think I mentioned this to @papillon in the past but forgot what the status is now. Historically it was hardwired into one of the spec continuous scan macros not to exceed the config velocity).
