SLICED MODEL in atmodel, ebs.model, sy.model
there is an annoying issue: splitted magnets.
we would like to be able to split the magnets at our wish:
- DQ and DL splitted for pinhole sources,
- QF8D rotated for the 2PW)
- absorbers for aperture restrictions
and still be able to call for element indexes, beta, in a simple way. Ex: DQ2D cell7 (DQ,pinhole,DQ) is the Nth magnet of the lattice and has gradient KL. Now calling for the optics of this magnets we have 2 indexes, 2 lengths, 2 identical gradient.
This requires separation of two concepts: the element in the lattice and the real element that we would like to retrive.
A large intervention in the atmodel
lattice is probably needed but it will be rewarding giving us a greatly improved usability of the lattice model. A start point could be a mapping of the sliced lattice element indexes in a reduced lattice + a method to return the optics of the sliced lattice at the location of the reduced one. To be investigated soon.
